Girls Up Loud FAQ
Who Can Attend Girls Up Loud?
GUL is open to any and all middle and high school girls! There is no audition required for any of our programs. Some programs, such as Summer Camp, are specifically for one age group (middle or high) and some programs, such as Singalongs, are open to all ages!

Cell Phone Policy:
In an effort to minimize distractions and maximize interaction and creativity, Girls Up Loud is a cell phone-free zone. We recommend the girls simply leave their phones, ipods, and ipads at home since we both will have our phones with us and will check them periodically throughout the day. If you need to reach your girl, simply TEXT (we will get the message more quickly that way) either or both of us and we will respond as soon as we see it. If your girl needs to contact you they are welcome to use our phones at any time to do so. If they bring a phone with them we ask you to please label it with their name. Any phones brought in to GUL events will be placed in the phone basket, kept in a safe place, and returned at dismissal.
What are Singalongs, anyway?
GUL Singalongs are gatherings that give the girls a chance to get together and simply sing. They are not rehearsals so there is no pressure of any kind! We spend a little time singing together as a group, which give the girls a chance to experience singing with other girls and also try out fun things like harmony, and the rest of the evening is dedicated to Karaoke. Any girl who wishes can get up and sing a solo on mic. The girls who wish to solo get a chance to stretch and grow in a safe environment, and the girls who are "audience members" learn a great deal about supporting their friends.
Because our programs typically sell out and have a waiting list, deposits for camps and workshops are non-refundable when you apply for one of our programs. If you find yourself unable to attend one of our programs, you must let us know a minimum of 2 weeks before camp starts or 1 week before the workshop in order to receive a refund (minus the deposit).
